 
Bishop Mary Adams is the second of nine children born to the late Thomas and Edna McLaurin of Fayetteville, NC. She has a very diverse ministry background which allows great flexibility in working within a broad scale of assignments. She is committed to preaching and defending God's word through teaching, encouraging and mentoring others to help them maximize their potential. Bishop Adams has earned degrees in Education, Ministry and Christian Counseling. She has served for over twenty years as Pastor of Mount Zion Cathedral, Stafford, VA and several years as Overseer of Women - Holy Communion of Churches. Dr. Adams is the author of 10 books: Beneath the Surface; Pursuing the Upward Call; The Best Days are Ahead; For Such a Time as This; Sounds of Destiny; On the Way There; For the Applause of Heaven; Living on Purpose; Beneath the Surface II; and Pressing Forward: Expecting Greater Against all Odds. Bishop Mary and her husband, CSM (RET) Robert Adams have a daughter, Benita (Sidney); granddaughter, Takisha; grandson, Dominique; and three great-grandchildren, Nariyah, Jalen, and Nevaeh. |
